Lashes

My current artist process is currently focused on reflection through repeat.  I believe experiences and behaviors continue to shape and change my mind, and it leads to a need to unpack experiences over and over again.  I am inspired by making connections between the creative and critical. Lashes represents looking deeper into the past experiences and taking the time to identify how to cope with uncomfortable truths.  Though inspired by a hurtful realization and remembrance of historic torture, the representation by way layering encourages a literal back and forth in thought and motion that brings joy.
